Compass Group USA, through CulinArt, is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker for the Stony Brook location at 1 Chapman Parkway, Stony Brook, NY 11790. The shift runs 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with days varying; online applications are accepted.

Primary duties include food prep, dishwashing, serving customers, and ensuring safety, sanitation and proper portion control. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred, and benefits apply for eligible associates.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Washes, peels, cuts and seeds fruits and vegetables.
• Weights and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays safely between stations and cold/storage areas.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Follows approved recipes and portion controls for quality and serving temperatures.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and relays concerns to supervisor.
• Maintains sanitation and safety compliance and assists with inventory and cash control.

• We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD SERVICE WORKER position.
• Location: Stony Brook School - 1 Chapman Parkway, Stony Brook, NY 11790. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time schedule. Days may vary, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Further details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous dishwashing experience preferred.

• Fixed Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
