Job description

The Food Service Worker position is a fast-paced customer service role. Responsibilities include replenishing, maintaining, and cleaning food venues. Occasionally, you will prepare student orders at a Marketplace venue under the supervision of culinary staff. Duties may include refilling beverage dispensers with milk or juices, operating the ice cream machine, and assisting in the dish room during busy times. You may also be responsible for cleaning all Dining Services facilities, collecting and disposing of garbage and recycling, and cleaning tables, chairs, and floors. Replenishing paper towel, sanitizer, and soap dispensers and performing custodial tasks as directed are also part of the role. Occasionally, you may assist in the dish room of dining services. You will be responsible for picking up, delivering, and stocking food and supplies for dining departments. This position offers the opportunity to interact with the diverse student population at Grinnell College.
