Hourly Rate: $18.15

Schedule: 35 hours weekly, Monday to Sunday. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Food Service Worker may work anywhere on property where food is prepared. Responsibilities include setup and serving of food, cleaning, and sanitizing equipment and work stations. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs and client requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Operate kitchen utensils for weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, seasoning, and kneading foodstuffs.
  2. Assist in preparing hot and cold foods and properly store food respecting temperature and spoilage guidelines.
  3. Inspect workstations for compliance with standards.
  4. Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all safety and regulatory procedures.
  5. Set up stations with food items and utensils.
  6. Stock service areas as needed.
  7. Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables, and break down stations after meals.
  8. Prepare beverages like coffee and tea; restock as necessary.
  9. Assist in tray line operations and interact with customers in serving areas.
  10. Assist customers with opening containers and cutting food upon request.
  11. Wash dishes manually or using dishwashers.
  12. Clean work areas, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
  13. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and removing trash.
  14. Transfer supplies and equipment within storage and work areas.
  15. Attend allergy and foodborne illness training.
  16. Follow all safety, risk management, and HACCP policies.
  17. Participate in safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.
  18. Maintain security clearances and comply with workplace policies.
  19. Perform other tasks as directed by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a commercial food service environment.
