Quest Food Management Services Llc in Wilmette, IL is hiring a Daytime/ Weekdays Food Service Worker for the Avoca SD37 site. The part-time role runs Monday through Friday, 9am–1:30pm, with a $15.00–$16.00 hourly range.

You will support daily lunch production, prep ingredients, assemble meals, and maintain sanitary, safe kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and capable of working in a busy school kitchen with a team to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous food service, restaurant, cafeteria experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and meal schedules.
• Wash, cut, portion, cook, and package food products for distribution.
• Assist with meal assembly and service to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
• Label, date, and store food products following food safety guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam tables, and knives.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
• Follow HAACP procedures and document food temperatures as required.
• Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory using FIFO procedures.
• Support cooks with food preparation and other duties as assigned.
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Food Service Worker

The food service worker supports daily food production operations in a school kitchen that serves students in either K-5 or Junior High School.

The position is responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling food items, serving students meals, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

• Ability to work in loud, fast paced kitchen environment.
