Job summary

Marquise is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals in a healthcare setting. You will perform prep work, assist with daily serving and cashier duties while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have experience in food service, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical fitness is required to carry trays and perform duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Set up items for purchase on daily basis.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and temperatures; notify cooks if temperatures are not within limits.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and line serving.

The hourly wage rate for this position is $24.34 - (base pay+SSO wage*)*Base $18.25 + 6.09/hr SSO wage) *Single Site Order (SSO) is subject to the direction of government and may be discontinued at any time. Prepares, presents and serves meals, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.
