Job summary

Cody Regional Health Nutrition Services in Cody, WY is seeking a seasonal position to provide fast and courteous service of food and beverages to residents and patients. The role includes serving meals in Long Term Care and ensuring food presentation meets established standards.

Compensation includes an additional supplemental pay of $1,500. The position may require nights, weekends, and holidays and offers a collaborative team environment with opportunities to support multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Basic reading and writing.
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with residents, guests, other departments, cooks, and supervisors.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests promptly and courteously.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with staff.
• Clear and reset tables and assist with opening and closing tasks.
• Serve residents and guests in Long Term Care during meals and snacks.
• Assist in cold preparation and delivery of meals.
• Prepare food and beverages and present them per health and presentation standards.
• Clean tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as needed.
• Perform side-work and opening/closing duties to keep stations clean.
• Report service or safety issues to management and follow guidelines.
• Stock dining room and nurse stations with needed items.
• Dishwashing and setup for next meal periods.

SEASONAL POSITION

JOB SUMMARY

Provide fast and courteous service of food and beverages to residents and patients and ensure quality of food and beverage presentation per established standards.

$1,500 IN ADDITIONAL SUPPLEMENTAL PAY

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Food service experience preferred. Food service in a healthcare setting preferred, but not required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
• Perform side-work and any other opening or closing duties as required. Ensure stations are clean and maintained throughout shift.
• Alert management of any service and/or safety issues. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Stock dining room with necessary items for meal periods as well as stocking the nurse’s stations with request as provided.
• Cleaning after all meal periods includes: doing dishes, setting up dining room for next meal period.
• Follow dietary requirements for all residents and ensure serving food according to each diet safely.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

• Attend department meetings and in-services.
