Job summary

North American Concessions, located inside Midway Airport in Chicago, IL, is seeking Food Service Workers to join our WoodGrain Pizza team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking orders, preparing pizzas to customer requests, operating the register, and keeping the dining area clean. You will follow food safety standards and assist with other duties as assigned in a fast-paced airport setting.

Qualifications

• Valid food handlers, allergens, and alcohol awareness certificates.
• At least 21 years old due to alcohol sales.
• Must pass Federal Background Check for Airport Badging.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Open availability to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Greet and take customer orders, remember special requests, and deliver food in a timely manner.
• Work with the pizza dough, make pizzas according to the customer's requests, and work with the register to check people out.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service with a positive demeanor when dealing with restaurant patrons, fielding all complaints promptly, answering questions, and making meal suggestions when asked.
• Assist with cleaning the restaurant and dining area.
• Adhere to food safety standards at all times, making sure that all food is free of contaminants and pathogens that might make customers sick.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have a valid/unexpired Food handlers, Allergens, and Alcohol Awareness certificate.
• Must be at least 21 years old, as the job requires selling alcohol products.
• Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check for Airport Badging.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with a variety of restaurant patrons
• Must have Open Availability to work all shifts.
• Must be able to get to Midway Airport to start work according to your schedule.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance

• Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and Vision Insurance are offered after employees pass their 90-day probationary period, and if elected, it will begin on the first day of the month following the passage of the probationary period.
• PTO (Paid Time Off):Employees will receive 80 hours of PTO after accruing a full year of full-time service.Employees are permitted to begin using accrued PTO time after they work a minimum of six (6) months.PTO will increase at the five (5) year mark and at the ten (10) year mark.
• Paid Sick Time:Employees receive 40 hours of Paid Sick Time per year and they are permitted to start using it after they pass their 90-day probationary period.
