Job summary

North American Concessions in Chicago, IL is seeking Food Service Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate is attentive, ambitious, and engaged, with a strong focus on customer service and food safety.

You will assist cooks, plate meals, greet customers, and maintain a clean dining area. Responsibilities include following sanitation standards, standing for long periods, and being flexible to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal with a variety of restaurant patrons.
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Must have a current/unexpired Food Handlers certificate.
• Must have a current/unexpired Allergens Certificate.
• Must be able to pass a background check processed by the Chicago Department of Aviation's badging division.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must have a positive attitude and to be able to get along with coworkers as well as guests.
• Open Availability to work.

Responsibilities

• Aid cooks in preparing meals and plating food as requested by the chef or other supervising employee.
• Help cooks with food preparation duties for the day by cutting, peeling, or slicing as needed.
• Greet and take customer orders, remember special requests, and deliver food in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service with a positive demeanor when dealing with restaurant patrons, fielding all complaints promptly, answering questions, and making meal suggestions when asked.
• Assist with cleaning the restaurant and dining area by picking up trash, and wiping down tables and countertops as needed.
• Adhere to food safety standards at all times, ensuring food is free from contaminants.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Other duties as assigned
