Job summary

The State of Georgia invites you to join Central State Hospital in Milledgeville as a Food Service Worker 2. Under broad supervision, you will prepare and build food items according to standardized recipes and directions, while maintaining clean work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware.

You will ensure proper food storage following safety policies and rotate products as required. The position offers a day shift from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience as an assistant in preparing, cooking and serving food in a food service operation.
• Six months’ experience in following menus in serving diets.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions.
• Cleans work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes and silverware.
• Stores food by adhering to DBHDD food safety policies, procedures, and sanitation.
• Sets up workstations including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, steam tables, etc.
• Carries pans of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety and rotation procedures.
