Job summary

Avera Oahe Manor is hiring for a Regular position involving light food preparation, plating, stocking, catering support, and kitchen cleaning. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support patient meals and dining services.

The role requires basic food service experience and compliance with safety standards. The team emphasizes compassion and delivering care, with opportunities for growth, training, and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months related experience and/or training.
• Resident Dining Feeding Assistant Program - Avera completed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for assigned area.
• Meet standards established by Leader for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Make recommendations to Leader for all menus.
• Complete daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards.
• Stocks refrigerator, storerooms, work areas with labeling and dating procedures, food temperature record keeping.
• May operate dish machine, garbage disposal, steam tables, coffee makers, toasters, food processor, espresso machine, and coffee grinder. Induction ranges.
• Serves meals/beverages with attention to temperature maintenance.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for light food preparation, plating food, putting away storeroom stock, catering functions, and assigned cleaning of the kitchen.

• Prepare food items for assigned area.
• Meet standards established by Leader for food preparation, quality, sanitation, and efficiency.
• Make recommendations to Leader for all menus.
• Complete daily assigned cleaning in accordance with approved standards.

• May operate dish machine, garbage disposal, steam tables, coffee makers, toasters, food processor, espresso machine, and coffee grinder. Induction ranges.
