Job summary

Quest Food Management Services serves as the school kitchen operator responsible for daily production, ingredient prep, and service to students. The role emphasizes teamwork, punctuality, and strict adherence to food safety guidelines to meet daily production goals.

Primary duties include preparing items, portioning, labeling, and ensuring clean stations while following recipes and HACCP procedures. A Serve Safe certification is preferred or obtainable upon hire, with a federal background check

Qualifications

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
  • Serve Safe Certified or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Must pass a federal background check.
  • Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare fruits, vegetables, and other menu items according to standardized recipes and meal schedules.
  • Wash, cut, portion, cook, and package food products for distribution.
  • Assist with meal assembly and service to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
  • Label, date, and store food products following food safety guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, steam tables, and knives.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift.
  • Follow HAACP procedures and document food temperatures as required.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and stocking inventory using FIFO procedures.
  • Support cooks with food preparation and other duties as assigned.
  • Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Job description

Position Summary

The food service worker supports daily food production operations in a school kitchen that serves students. The position is responsible for preparing ingredients, assembling food items, serving students meals, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and able to work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production goals.

This position starts in August. Monday–Sunday AM/PM. No holidays.
