About This Position

$400 SIGN ON BONUS for New Hires!

This position is located in a Jail/Correctional Facility and involves close contact and interaction with inmates.

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with food service in a correctional setting. Responsibilities include preparing and serving various foods according to instructions and menus, and using food preparation utensils and machines.

Essential Functions / Core Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service shifts.
• Assist or instruct in food preparation according to menus and recipes.
• Ensure proper storage and sanitation of food.
• Serve food according to schedule and policies.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly to prepare and serve food.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Train other food service workers.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Follow uniform and safety policies.
• Manage garbage and keep kitchen clean.
• Ensure the environment is ready for food prep and service.
• Review portion sizes and utensil use for service.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
• This role involves physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years old.
