About This Position

This position is located in a Jail/Correctional Facility and involves working in close contact with inmates. The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members in food service operations, ensuring food is prepared and served according to standards.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service
2. Prepare and assist in food preparation according to menus and recipes
3. Ensure proper food storage and sanitation
4. Serve food on schedule and in accordance with policies
5. Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly
6. Follow food safety regulations
7. Train staff
8. Maintain cleanliness of work areas
9. Follow uniform policy
10. Manage waste and keep kitchen environment clean
11. Ensure proper portioning and utensil use
12. Promote a safe work environment
13. Perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for long periods
14. Perform other duties as assigned
