Summary

Prepares and/or builds food items while providing customer service and adhering to food safety, handling, and sanitation standards. Performs various tasks in food preparation, distribution, and service.

Job Duties

• Provides high-quality service to customers at all times.
• Works as part of the healthcare team to provide nutritional care appropriate to patients' ages.
• Answers customer questions and provides information on procedures or policies, enhancing the patient care experience.
• Greet guests cheerfully and prepare their orders.
• Maintains confidentiality of organizational information and cautions others about potential breaches.
• Follows all Federal, State, ServSafe, and other food service regulations, maintaining required documentation.
• Adheres to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards during all food-related activities.
• Complies with hospital policies, quality improvement programs, safety standards, and the Patient’s Bill of Rights.
• Washes and sanitizes equipment, food prep areas, and dining spaces to high standards.
• Monitors food quality and quantity issues.
• Operates kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
• Assists with cleaning projects and supports other staff as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 1 year of kitchen experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs, stand/walk frequently, and perform activities like kneeling, bending, and squatting as needed for patient care roles.
