A leading company in food services is seeking a Food Service Worker to assist with food service operations. The role involves setting up, serving, and cleaning food for patients and guests. Candidates should have good communication skills and the ability to perform basic math. A high school diploma is preferred.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Food Services Director or Assistant Food Services Manager, the Food Service Worker performs a variety of duties related to the set-up, service, breakdown, and clean-up of food service to patients, clients, residents, employees, and guests of Allied Services.

High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
Institutional or commercial food service experience preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required for effective communication with staff and visitors.
Must be able to read.
Ability to perform mathematical functions (simple calculations, conversions) is required.
Moderate work: duties require exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally (approximately 10-33% of shift), and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently (approximately 33-66% of the time), and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects (e.g., occasional patient transfers).
Position involves bending, reaching, and stooping (occasionally in strained positions) throughout the shift.
Individual will be required to stand for prolonged periods.
Ability to transport self throughout the facility is required.
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care appropriate to the age-specific needs and culture of the patient served.
Individual may be subject to minor burns, scrapes, cuts, slips, and falls in performing normal duties.
Works in a well-lit, ventilated area.
Occasional variances in temperature (hot/cold) during normal duties.
