Trinity Services Group in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Food Service Worker to prep and serve meals within a correctional facility. You will follow the planned menu, assist team members, and ensure a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The role reports to a Food Service Director and is onsite inside the jail. Ideal candidates show passion for food, understand handling regulations, and are eager to learn and adapt quickly.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED; 18+.
• Experience in institutional food service or restaurant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in cooking quality foods following menu and instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation.
• Serve food according to schedules and procedures.
• Follow all food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

About This Position

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
