About This Position
This position works inside a jail/correctional facility at the Onslow County Jail. The Food Service Worker accurately and efficiently prepares and serves a variety of food items according to work instructions and menus within a correctional setting. This role involves using various food preparation utensils and machines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of foods according to menus and recipes.
• Maintain a clean and food-safe workstation, including cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Serve food during scheduled meal times following policies.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment properly to prepare and serve food.
• Follow all food safety regulations.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need
