Job summary

AVI Foodsystems in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a friendly Food Service Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. This role focuses on preparing, serving, and maintaining quality products for guests, with an emphasis on hospitality and food safety.

This position operates primarily on Mondays and offers opportunities to grow within a family-oriented environment while delivering great customer service and reliable teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in hot/cold food prep and proper food storage.
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, and utensils.
• Interact with guests in serving, retail and dining areas.
• Follow guest service procedures: smile, eye contact, greet guests.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment per rules and procedures.
• Maintain a fast pace and multitask while performing duties.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Food Service Worker. This is a part-time position in Grand Rapids, MI. This position will work on Mondays.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods, and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products and utensils
• Interact with guests in the serving, retail and dining areas
• Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling, making eye contact and greeting guests
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures
• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties

Requirements

• Previous food service experience preferred
• Strong work ethic
