We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Service Worker to join our team in Okeechobee, FL.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2+ years of experience in food service industry
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in culinary arts or ServSafe Food Manager’s Certificate and documented years of related experience in quantity cooking
- 1+ years of verifiable experience in food service/cooking field
- Prior experience with quantity cooking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Follow all established service plans as outlined in the Nutrition and service area manuals.
- Receive, unpack, and organize food and supplies in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Conduct weekly inventory, manage supplies, and maintain accurate records of all food service activities.
- Post monthly menus in English, Spanish, and Creole (as needed) in the kitchen and Parent’s Bulletin Board, documenting substitutions with prior approval.
