Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve items in a correctional setting, reporting to a Food Service Director.

This on-site role requires availability on weekends and holidays and a 5am–2pm schedule with rotating days. The position offers a $1500 bonus, daily pay options, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) match, PTO, tuition reimbursement, paid training, life and AD&D coverage, and voluntary disability plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent experience.
• Prior institutional food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in the preparation of foods according to menus and instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation and handle waste as required.
• Serve food during planned meal times and follow department procedures.
• Follow all sanitation and food handling regulations.
• Be physically able to lift, bend, push, kneel, walk and stand for extended periods.

About This Position

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.
• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.
• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred:
  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
