TKC Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare and serve a variety of meals inside a jail/correctional facility in On-Site locations. The role offers a $17.00/hour wage plus a $1000 new hire bonus and benefits such as DailyPay, health insurance, and a 401(k) match.

You will work under the Food Service Director, ensuring food safety and quality while supporting kitchen operations. Prior institutional food service experience is preferred; High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.
• Maintain a neat and food-safe workstation; pull trash, sweep, and mop as needed.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations concerning sanitation, handling, and storage.
• Stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks as required.

About This Position

$17.00/hour + $1000 new hire bonus

The Food Service Worker prepares and serves a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus within a correctional setting.

You will report to a Food Service Director. This position is located onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist team members in the preparation of quality foods according to the planned menu, recipes, and work instructions promptly.

• The duties of the Food Service Worker include, but are not limited to, cleaning as you go and maintaining a neat and food safe workstation, which you will clean and maintain. These responsibilities also include pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping.

• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.

• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes.

• Abide by all food safety regulations about sanitation, food handling and storage.

• Perform routine kitchen tasks, while being organized and clean.

• You will have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.

• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.

• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need

• Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.
