Join to apply for the Food Service Worker role at Menorah Park.

This full-time position requires working every other weekend. The pay range is between $16.50 and $17.00 per hour, based on skills and experience. Benefits include health and retirement plans, weekly pay, tuition reimbursement, and convenient location on the Centro bus route with free onsite parking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
• Serve meals in the main kitchen.
• Assist with meal service setup, clearing tables, washing dishes, and cleaning tables on resident care floors.
• Transport hot and cold foods and non-food items to and from the main kitchen and resident care areas.
• Wash silver, glass, and china in the dish machine as per regulations.
• Provide floor stock, snacks, and supplements per diet orders.
• Maintain stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines.
• Keep work stations clean and organized.
• Take orders, serve, and courteously respond to resident requests.
• Clear dishes during and after meal service.
• Answer questions about menu items.
• Ensure meal trays match meal tickets.
• Maintain kosher regulations as per policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions.
• Previous experience in nursing home food service is preferred but not required.
• Ability to plan, organize, and set up trays and plates according to diet orders.
• Ability to work cooperatively with residents, staff, and visitors, demonstrating empathy for the elderly.
