Under supervision, Automotive Service Workers (ASWs) assist in and perform automotive maintenance, inspection, and repair work. They operate various motor vehicles, tow and relocate vehicles, disconnect batteries, and perform maintenance and repairs. Responsibilities include cleaning vehicles, assisting in loading/unloading, operating motor equipment, and managing tools and supplies.
For Level I:
License Requirements: Must possess a valid NY Motor Vehicle Driver License. Certain positions require a Class A or B Commercial Driver License with specific endorsements. Candidates may qualify with a learner's permit and must obtain the full license within 180 days.
For Level II:
License requirements are similar to Level I.
