Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Food Service Utility Tech PRN to join the Food & Nutrition team. You will be responsible for keeping the department clean, organized, and stocked, while supporting patient care and safety throughout its operations.

As part of a leading healthcare system, you will follow HIPAA and infection control guidelines, wear proper uniform standards, and contribute to high-quality food service for patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
• Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in Food & Nutrition.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control practices in daily work.
• Adhere to uniform and personal appearance standards at all times.
• Support patient, customer and physician satisfaction through proper processes.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Food and Nutrition Food Service Worker I will be a competent Support services employee who is responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Checklist. Meets mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives established annually as listed on the performance management plan.

Utilizes systems/processes to ensure patient safety, infection control practices, department security & HIPPA guidelines.

Maintain and adhere to Food & Nutrition’s uniform and personal appearance standards at all time

Utilizes proper processes to achieve patient, customer & physician satisfaction goals.

Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred

1 + years of experience in healthcare preferred

Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire
