Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cook PRN to join our food services team in Jacksonville. Under supervision, you will prepare, season, and cook a variety of items following menus and production sheets while keeping a sanitary work area. You will also communicate with staff about menus and portions.

Applicants with healthcare experience and 1+ years in quantity cooking are preferred. This PRN role supports our hospital’s dining services and patient meals, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines and procedures.
• Communicate with production staff regarding menus, recipes, and portion sizes.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work area and follow production sheets.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

Under general supervision, prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of food items in appropriate quantities while following menus, recipes and production sheets while maintaining a clean and sanitary work area. Communicates with other production staff regarding menus, recipes and portion sizes.

• Adhere to HACCP/food safety guidelines/policies & procedures
• Utilizes proper equipment to produce standard recipes.
• Foster a culture of commitment to the HCA vision, mission, and values of the organization.
• Participate in training with other members of the production staff to further develop/advance within the industry.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate\Equivalent preferred
• 1 + years of experience in healthcare preferred
• 1 + years of experience in quantity cooking preferred
