Job summary

The Association for Individual Development (AID) is seeking a Food Service Tech to support clients in learning basic food service skills and cooking in Aurora and Elgin. This role helps clients develop independence and prepare for community employment while following safety and nutrition guidelines.

You will train Residential Staff, implement lunch programs, supervise meal planning, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Current Certification in Food Service Sanitation.
  • ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment.
  • At least 1 year in food service.
  • Experience working with persons with developmental/disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist training clients in basic food service and cooking skills.
  • Train Residential Staff in cooking, meal planning, and nutrition.
  • Implement hot lunch program and Food Truck program.
  • Maintain documentation of client programming and safety procedures.
  • Transport clients as needed.
