Job summary

SeaWorld in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a dependable Food Service Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on commercial kitchen appliances. You will ensure safe operation and deliver excellent service to guests and Team Members.

The role requires physical stamina, basic math, and a valid driver's license, with opportunities to lead other technicians and cover night shifts on a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience each in electrical, gas, and mechanical maintenance (prefer commercial kitchen equipment).
• Basic mathematical skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on commercial electrical and gas appliances used in food preparation.
• Maintain safe work habits and use of PPE; report unsafe conditions.
• Provide excellent service to guests and team members.
• Cover night position when necessary; lead and coach other Food Service Technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you get to do:

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of commercial electrical and gas appliances used in food preparation.
• Consistently practices safe work habits including but not limited to the use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations.
• Provide excellent service to guests and Team Members.
• Cover Night Position when necessary
• Serve as leader and coach to other Food Service Technicians
• Other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• One-year experience each in electrical, gas, and mechanical (Prefer commercial kitchen equipment).
• Basic mathematical skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language
• Working knowledge of ANSI and N.F.P.A. and possess cross training in other maintenance fields.
• Basic knowledge of N.E.C.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 to a maximum of 100 pounds.
• Able to provide your own basic hand tools (i.e. socket wrench, pliers, etc.)
• Willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays.
• Willing to comply with and ensure team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
• Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines.

Compensation:

27.00 USD an Hour
