University Health seeks a dedicated food service worker to prepare and serve meals for patients in a hospital setting. You will follow safety, hygiene and sanitation rules, meet daily deadlines and support courteous guest interactions.
The role prefers Spanish-speaking applicants and requires basic English literacy, arithmetic, and a High School diploma or equivalent. Prior health care or cafeteria experience is a plus and adherence to policies is essential.
Carries out routine tasks necessary in preparing and serving foods required for patients. Assures competent, efficient and timely performance of duties and assignments when complying with University Health System and Food Service Department policies and safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations for proper care and use of foods, supplies and equipment. Must meet established daily deadlines with accuracy and quality performance. Maintains excellent guest and working relations.
The ability to read, write and speak English and do simple arithmetic is required. Spanish speaking is preferred. High School graduation or its equivalent is preferred. Six months of health care, cafeteria, or restaurant food service experience is preferred.
