Job summary

Western State Hospital is seeking a Food Service Tech I Part Time to perform a combination of operational tasks related to the assembly and service of patient trays, snacks, and bag meals. Duties include proper tray assembly, service from cold/hot lines, and kitchen sanitation.

Location: Staunton, VA. The role requires lifting, standing, following written instructions, and maintaining hygiene per state guidelines. Benefits include health plans and paid time off.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Properly tare a scale to ensure accuracy when pre-portioning items.
• Follows health regulations for proper hygiene/sanitation and food handling in all areas where food is cooked or served.
• Clean, sanitize and store all pots and pans allowing them to air dry according to the VDH and Department guidelines.
• Able to track temperatures on any machine.
• Assists in cleaning and sanitizing dish room when trays are completed.
• Serving - Accurately serves food and beverage items in proper amounts by weighing correctly.
