Job summary

IKEA Food in Fishers, Indiana seeks a Food Service Team Member to ensure operational excellence in IKEA Food, including food preparation, customer service, and safety compliance. The role requires a positive attitude, adherence to standards, and the ability to work nights and weekends in a retail environment.

The position offers a permanent, full-time schedule (34-40 hrs/wk) with benefits eligibility and an hourly rate of 17.58–26.14 USD, depending on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred.
• Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept.
• Respond to customer inquiries to support informed purchases and process sales transactions accurately.
• Maintain equipment operation and conduct preventive and cleaning maintenance.
• Keep dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and trays clean and compliant with Food Safety Standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitization of sampling equipment and areas in Swedish Food Market.
• Communicate accurate pricing across all food solutions, including digital platforms and shelf tags.
• Manage FIFO and inventory control, uphold expiration dates and sustainability standards.
• Follow IKEA Food policies for goods receiving and monthly inventory.
• Adhere to food safety, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
