Job summary

IKEA Food is seeking a Food Service Team Member to ensure operational excellence in IKEA Food. You will prepare and maintain menu items, respond to customer inquiries, and process sales with cash handling accuracy.

You will also maintain equipment and cleanliness, oversee the Swedish Food Market, and ensure proper stock rotation and FIFO. This role requires nights and weekends, 34-40 hours per week, with benefits for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience.
• Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred.
• Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept.
• Respond to customer inquiries to support informed purchases and process sales transactions accurately.
• Maintain equipment operation and conduct preventive and cleaning maintenance.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, stock rotation and sanitization of sampling equipment.
