Job summary

Primrose School of Algonquin is seeking a Food Service Teacher (School Chef) to prepare nutritious meals for children and support healthy eating habits. You will work M-F from 7:30 am to 1:30 pm, collaborating with a director and other staff to follow the daily menu and ensure dietary needs are met.

The role emphasizes food safety, inventory management, and helping with ordering while maintaining a warm, caring school environment that supports children’s growth and development.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma and availability M-F 7:30am-1:30pm.
• Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management.
• Strong skills in inventory management and control.
• Ability to manage food service and catering operations.
• Experience in supervising and leading kitchen teams.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and food production.
