Job summary

Primrose School of Southeast Ellicott City is seeking a Food Service Teacher to prepare delicious, nutritious meals that fuel children’s learning and development. You’ll help create a safe, healthy environment and support a culture where children and staff thrive.

You’ll follow the Balanced Learning approach and contribute to community initiatives, with opportunities for professional development and growth within Primrose Schools’ mission-driven program.

Responsibilities

• Encourage healthy eating habits and provide nutritious meals.
• Maintain awareness of children with allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure food service area and foods are nut-free or processed in nut facilities.
• Follow the daily menu prepared by the Director or team.
• Assist with ordering food and estimating quantities.

• Encourage healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods.
• Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions.
• Ensure food service area and food are free of nuts, nut products or food items that have been processed in a facility that also processes nut products.
• Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director.
• Assist with ordering food and calculating the amount needed.
