Job summary

Primrose School of Chesapeake at Greenbrier is seeking a Food Service Teacher - School Chef to prepare nutritious meals for young learners. You will work the 6:30am-2:00pm or 10:30am-5:00pm shifts, contributing to a health-focused program and warm, welcoming classroom environment.

You’ll manage menus in collaboration with the director, monitor dietary restrictions, help with ordering, and support a team that values health, safety, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management.
• Strong skills in inventory management and control.
• Ability to manage food service and catering operations.
• Experience in supervising and leading kitchen teams.
• Knowledge of dietary requirements and food production.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, nutritious meals for children daily.
• Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director.
• Assist with ordering food and calculating the amount needed.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety in the kitchen.
• Support with catering events as needed.
