Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year.
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets.
• Direct daily activities.
• Ensure food safety and quality according to policies and department requirements.
• Store food items safely and organized.
• Maintain serving schedules and adhere to menu specifications.
• Keep health and safety codes and regulations in department.
• Maintain inventory on a weekly basis.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel and promote growth.
• Provide training and mentoring to staff.
• Maintain equipment maintenance logs and perform preventative checks.
• Assist with catering events and occasional night/weekend duties.
• Attend service meetings and maintain communication with staff.
