Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services in Washington, DC is recruiting a full-time Food Service Supervisor to help lead our dedicated Food Services Team. You will work with a manager to coordinate operations, oversee staff, and ensure safety and quality in all food production and service.

The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, with duties ranging from scheduling and inventory to training staff and maintaining compliance with health codes.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year.
• Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets.
• Direct daily activities.
• Maintains food production that ensures the safety and quality of food.
• Ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized environment.
• Maintain serving schedules and ensure meals follow menu specs.
• Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes.
• Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis.
• Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel; promote growth and teamwork.
• Train/mentor other food service workers.
• Maintain logs on maintenance and food safety/temperature.
• Promote good public relations.
