Job summary

Sodexo Group at UTMB HEALTH – UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS MEDICAL BRANCH in Galveston, TX, is seeking a Food Supervisor. This full-time role covers oversight of on-site food operations across fast casual, cafeterias, events, and casual dining, reporting to management.

You will lead service staff, ensure safety, train employees, and collaborate with customers to maintain quality and service. Shifts vary with open availability preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurture a healthy/safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business.
• Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
• Facilitate orientation and training of employees.
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in quality, service, and problem resolution.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
