Job summary

Aramark Correctional Services is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a kitchen, coordinate meal production, and ensure sanitation and safety in a correctional facility. You will train staff, manage production logs, and ensure accurate portions and dietary needs are met.

Candidate must be comfortable in a correctional environment, able to obtain required security clearance, and pass a background check. Competitive hourly pay with great benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to preparation and production guidelines per Aramark standards.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with guidelines.
• Direct inmates in the use of Aramark recipes and train on proper cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and adherence to special dietary requirements.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Follow HACCP policies and ensure secure storage and handling of food and tools.
