The Department of Corrections, Division of Institutions, is recruiting for a Food Service Supervisor position at the Wildwood Correctional Center (WCC) located in Kenai, Alaska.What You Will Be Doing:

Wildwood Correctional Complex houses inmates of all custody levels, including a Pretrial Facility (115 inmates), a Sentenced Facility (264 inmates), and a Transitional Program (92 inmates). This position is based in the Administration offices of Building 10, with limited exposure to inmates, overseeing the main kitchen.

Minimum Qualifications:
Substitution: One year of relevant food service experience including nutrition, menu planning, staff scheduling, safety, handling, purchasing, and inventory management can substitute for the certification.
Special Note: Positions require working with the resident population of correctional or healthcare facilities, adhering to relevant statutes, policies, and procedures. Duties may include sole supervision and security of inmates/residents.

Starting Salary: Up to $2,709.60 (Step D), depending on criteria.
Legal Employment: Applicants must certify legal right to work in the U.S. and maintain appropriate documentation. The State does not sponsor employment.

Foreign Education: Must demonstrate equivalency to U.S. standards through recognized evaluation services.
