Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of menu items and supervise staff to meet nutritional guidelines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (at least 18) and experience in institutional food service or restaurants. This onsite role requires open availability between 8:30am and 6:30pm, with some weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen staff during food prep and service.
• Serve meals according to schedules and procedures.
• Cook and portion food as per recipes and menus.
• Train other food service workers.
• Maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
• Stand, lift, bend, and perform long shifts as needed.

About This Position

must have open availability to work between the hours of: 8:30am - 6:30pm (some weekends and holidays are required)

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
