Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate workers and the kitchen in a correctional facility. You will prepare and serve a variety of food items following recipes and menus, using commercial equipment and ensuring proper portions and nutrition.

You will report to a Food Service Director and work onsite inside a jail. The role emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and adherence to food handling regulations, with opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and kitchen team during prep and service shifts.
• Serve food according to planned meal schedules and procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils and equipment to cook and portion meals to meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for staff and inmates.
• Stand for extended periods and perform lifting and movement tasks as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervision.

About This Position

***must have open availability to work between the hours of: 8:30am - 6:30pm (some weekends and holidays are required)***

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director. You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.

• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.

• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.

• Train other food service workers.

• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.

• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.

• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.

• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
