Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is hiring a Food Service Supervisor to oversee inmate labor and kitchen operations inside a correctional facility.

You will prepare and serve a variety of meals following established menus and safety guidelines, while guiding a team to maintain quality and efficiency. Ideal candidates bring a passion for food service, a solid understanding of food handling regulations, and a readiness to learn.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED, and be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: prior institutional food service or restaurant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and service shifts.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to procedures.
• Cook food using recipes and serve portions that meet nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for employees/inmates.
• Stand and move for extended periods and handle physical demands.

About This Position

***Must have open availability to work between the hours of 9:00am - 5:30pm (some weekends and Holidays required)***

The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members assisting with the food service operation in a correctional facility. You will also prepare and serve a variety of food items following assigned work instructions and menus and use a variety of food preparation utensils and machines in preparing food.

You will report to a Food Service Director.You will work onsite inside of a jail/correctional facility.

Essential Functions/Main Responsibilities

• Manage inmate labor and team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen.
• Serve food during planned meal schedules and according to department procedures.
• Use kitchen utensils/equipment to cook food according to recipes. Use proper utensils to serve menued portions to meet clients' nutritional needs.
• Train other food service workers.
• Promote a healthy and safe work environment for other employees/inmates.
• Physical demands include items such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, and standing for extended periods of time.
• Be able to stand and be on your feet for much of the scheduled shift.
• Other responsibilities as determined by our needs.

What You'll Need
