Time to step up your career! We are hiring full-time Food Service Supervisors to join our team at Mike Durfee State Prison. You will work alongside a manager to coordinate and lead operations, oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and assist where needed. Starting Pay: $21/hour

Job Responsibilities
  1. Produce and maintain work schedules; prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes).
  2. Direct daily activities.
  3. Maintain food safety and quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
  4. Ensure safe and organized storage of food items.
  5. Maintain serving schedules; ensure food is served per menu specifications following policies and procedures.
  6. Ensure the department complies with health and safety codes.
  7. Maintain accurate weekly inventory.
  8. Prepare orders as needed to ensure proper production levels.
  9. Supervise, evaluate, counsel, and promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
  10. Maintain a safe working environment.
  11. Train and mentor other food service workers.
  12. Keep logs of equipment maintenance and food safety/temperature logs with corrective actions as needed.
  13. Perform preventative maintenance and recommend equipment replacements.
  14. Multitask proficiently.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Manager.
  16. Fill in for absent employees as necessary.
  17. Manage catering events, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
  18. Work occasional night and weekend catering events.
  19. Attend staff meetings and maintain communication with staff via email, phone, and inter-office mail.
  20. Perform cashier duties if needed.
  21. Promote good public relations.
