Job summary

West Ottawa Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Substitute to assist in preparing and serving school meals. The role supports daily operations in the school cafeteria and requires flexibility to work during school days as assigned. Hours vary, with early morning shifts from around 6 a.m.

to no later than 2 p.m. during the school year; candidates should be able to lift 20–50 pounds and meet the physical demands. Experience with children and ServSafe certification preferred.

Physical Requirements And Working Conditions

• Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

• Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• The worker is subject to environmental conditions.
• The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance.
