Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services is hiring a Food Service Specialist II to provide meals and quality food service at Lighthouse Services in Woodward. Primary hours range from 6:00am-2:30pm or 9:30am-6:00pm, with an annual salary of $32,500 and $15.62 hourly.

This role serves residents in inpatient and enhanced residential facilities and requires reliability and teamwork. Applicants must meet one year of food service experience or an equivalent combination of

Qualifications

• One year of experience in commercial or institutional food service or equivalent education and experience.
• Vocational/technical school training in food preparation may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals for inpatient and residential facilities.
• Use a variety of cooking and baking equipment and supplies.
• Cut and prepare meat, poultry, and fish.
• Fry, roast, bake, and prepare a variety of foods.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary kitchen and food-service area.
• Provide direction and assistance to employees performing simple and routine food-handling and serving duties.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
• Work as part of a team to ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
