Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Food Services Worker I to support daily food service operations. You will prepare, present, and serve meals while maintaining safety and sanitation standards and assisting with pantry and tray preparation.

The role requires basic food preparation knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to follow recipes and portion controls in a fast-paced environment. Food Handler’s certification is required.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in food preparation or food services.
• Food Handler’s certification required.
• Knowledge of FIFO and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, and cutting produce.
• Transport food safely between stations following safety protocols.
• Store and rotate food using FIFO and proper dating.
• Follow recipes and production standards for quality and portion control.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas.
• Set up and monitor serving line and temperatures.
• Serve food to customers with professionalism.
• Stock pantry items and monitor temperatures daily.
• Assist in meal tray preparation and delivery as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
