CrossAmerica Partners Minnesota is seeking a Food Service Shift Lead to supervise the food service area during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient kitchen operations, high-quality food, and outstanding customer service. This role requires strong leadership, food service expertise, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead a kitchen team, train staff, manage tasks, handle inventory, and uphold health codes in a store setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in a fast-paced food service environment.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring food safety and high-quality service.
• Assign tasks during peak periods and manage staff for timely, accurate food prep.
• Provide on-the-job training on food prep, safety, and customer service expectations.
• Address and resolve staff or customer issues, escalating as needed.
• Oversee food preparation and ensure items meet quality standards and portion sizes.
• Ensure compliance with health codes and proper handling of ingredients and cleanliness.
• Monitor inventory, report shortages, and manage stock rotation (FIFO) to minimize waste.
