Job summary

You will help coordinate operations with the Food Service Manager, supervise staff, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to a positive, community-focused shopping experience. This role requires strong communication, organization, and a proactive approach to solving problems in a fast-paced retail kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a retail or food service setting.
• HS diploma/GED; some college a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the Person in Charge for food service staff when scheduled.
• Performs and oversees opening and closing duties per procedures.
• Places timely supply requests to ensure ingredients and supplies are on hand.
• Reads staff and department messages daily and responds as necessary.
• Provides effective communication for all operational issues.
• Ensures Food Safety standards are enforced, including sanitary storage and prep areas.
• Uses documentation for temperature, logs, recipes, and orders.
• Maintains organized back stock and participates in quarterly inventory counts.
• Monitors and coaches staff on food prep consistency and presentation.
