Job summary

Daily Harvest is seeking a Shift Lead to guide a team on shift to deliver an exceptional customer experience on the floor and in the kitchen at our Philadelphia cafe. You will spend time on the floor working alongside the team to ensure seamless operations and serve as a model for guest-centered service.

You will coach and direct the team, manage daily production, uphold food safety and cleanliness standards, and lead with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Coach, direct, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role with kitchen production knowledge.
• Hold a valid Food Safety Manager Certificate and maintain sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead hospitality on shift, connect with customers, and model best practices.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations, communicate with managers and team, and coach through feedback.
• Plan production, track pars, ensure on-time orders, and maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Set shift tone, delegate tasks, and ensure customer focus during busy periods.
• Apply good judgment, take action when needed, and participate in hiring decisions.
• Create visually appealing retail spaces and manage inventory tasks.
