Job summary

Pasco County Schools, Food and Nutrition Services, is seeking a Maintenance Technician specializing in Food Service Preventive Maintenance. Based in Land O' Lakes, you will travel to multiple school sites across Pasco County, performing PM tasks on commercial kitchen equipment and assisting with repairs.

This full-time position is 12 months per year, 8 hours per day, with benefits. Requires high school diploma/GED, 2 years in a skilled trade or building maintenance, and a Florida driver license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or Vocational Degree from an accredited institution.
• Two years’ experience of a skilled trade or general building maintenance.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment.
• Clean ice machines, wall-mounted fans, and refrigeration coils.
• Sharpen knives and change gaskets.
• Assist with moving and repairing equipment as needed.
